ABOUT
DOXA PREP is a community-focused, academic support and mentorship program designed to assist youth practically, guide them socially and embolden them spiritually.
We partner with certified teachers and other educators to provide one-on-one and small group academic support for students enrolled in the program.
Our focus: Building trusting relationships with students as they navigate their educational journeys. In addition to academic support, we engage in meaningful discussions that motivate and equip youth to utilize soft skills training received in the program. We cover subjects such as conflict resolution, self advocacy, and the value of networking.
At DOXA PREP, our goal is for youth in Scarborough to have a notable and positive impact in their families, communities, and beyond.
Our hope is that being in this program will help them to reach their full God-given potential.
At PREP we provide:
Tutoring to address gaps in academic performace
Soft Skills Training
Training on Financial Literacy
Practical Solutions to address social deficits left as a result of isolation during the pandemic
Encouragement for youth to have hope for the future
